In our first webinar we examined the challenge of solving complex problems and argued that problems are often not complex in and of themselves – rather its is the perspectives and assumptions we bring to them that makes them intractable. A key outcome of the practical application of the 4 Factor Model© is noticing the habitual patterns of conversation and interactions that leaders and teams use to address difficult, shifting issues and how these sometimes make problems even harder to solve. In other words, the torch we use to navigate complexity can, at times, illuminate the wrong things. Our ability to hold multiple perspectives and to meld bigger and better perspectives is a critical function of effective leadership.

So what do we mean by Perspective Taking Capacity and how is it more than “seeing the bigger picture”? What does it mean for leaders to “take more complex perspectives, examine their assumptions, and shape the kinds of conversations that create real movement and adaptation in their teams and organisations.”

In this webinar we focus on these issues and how developing a leader’s perspective taking capacity is critical in helping leaders recognise and engage with the everyday organisational dynamics that underpin both leadership effectiveness and organisational performance.

Join us as we explore the first of the 4 Factors and explore its practical application in the realities of modern organisational life.

There is no cost to attend, but places are limited.
