SUMMARY:Coaching Psychology for Psychologists
DESCRIPTION:Many psychologists tell us they provide coaching for clients
  and/or are often approached to provide coaching for clients. There is a
 n assumption held by a number of psychologists\, and purchasers of coach
 ing services\,  that because of their background and training psycholog
 ists are  “naturally” able to coach. Unfortunately this is often no
 t the case and can result in less than optimal coaching experiences for 
 both the coaches and the coach.\n\nThis intensive\, and focused course i
 s designed specifically for psychologists who wish to expand and deepen 
 their knowledge and practice of coaching psychology. Participants will t
 ypically be qualified psychologists - clinical\, organisational\, sporti
 ng\, or educational etc. It combines the theory and research underlying 
 coaching psychology with an experiential and hands-on approach in which 
 participants are invited to learn by doing\, reflecting\, adjusting and 
 experimenting. It explores the similarities and differences between psyc
 hology and coaching psychology and what is enabled and constrained by th
 e assumptions underpinning each approach. In particular\, the course wil
 l focus on developmental coaching in complex environments and includes a
  Subject Object Interview (Kegan\, 2003\; Lahey et al.\, 1988) and debri
 ef for each participant.\n\nThis is a 12 module course conducted over 4 
 days. The 4 days are split into 2 x 2 day blocks separated by a 2 week b
 reak in which participants are invited to apply the reflective practitio
 ner model in real coaching sessions. The learning from this experience i
 s then used as a platform for the final 2 day session\n\nDates for 2025\
